Philadelphia’s First Anal Health Symposium
April 20, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Philadelphia’s First Anal Health Symposium is a half day symposium addressing the need for discourse around the best practices and standard of care as they pertain to prevention, and treatment of anal dysplasia which can lead to anal cancer if not treated. The symposium will address the needs of those living with HIV, and analyze whether or not this population is at a heightened risk, and should be screened ubiquitously. The symposium will provide an overview of current medical practices, address gaps in knowledge, and propose what best practices should look like in the future. There will be an opening session that outlines anal health and wellness for people living with HIV and review current guidelines. There will also be two breakout sessions. One will be for physicians, and healthcare professionals, and one will be for physicians, and healthcare professionals, as well as consumers.
